Writing a caption that makes people want to open the link

A bare URL asks somebody to spend attention on an unknown. A sentence tells them what they are getting. That is the whole difference, and it is worth more than any posting schedule.
Be specific rather than dramatic. "A three minute read on why your photos look washed out on phones" beats "You will not believe this" because the first one is a promise you can keep. The second sets up a disappointment.
Say who it is for when the audience is narrow. Naming the reader filters out people who would have bounced anyway, and bounced visitors help nobody.
Finally, put the interesting part first. Most people read the beginning of a post and decide there. If the reason to click is in your last line, it may as well not exist.
